Ryan has broad-based experience in dealing with corporate and commercial matters, in both transactional and contentions cases. Having spent several years working in the financial services industry, Ryan also has in-depth experience working with financial institutions, funds and high net worth individuals based in both the UK and abroad, and he regularly provides advice to a wide variety of FSA regulated/authorised entities based in the UK.  More recently, Ryan has been instructed on behalf of a number of charities based both the UK and abroad on matters ranging from charity setup and trustee selection to advising on best practice, conflict of interest and general compliance matters. 

Examples of his work include:
  • Advising on a broad range of business start-up and restructuring matters (both in the UK and offshore) including entity formation, complex shareholder agreements, capital fundraising, shareholder disputes, partnership litigation, and contentious director-level employment matters
  • Specific advisory services provided to FSA regulated institutions on issues of general compliance, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery/corruption policies, negotiation of service provider and advisory agreements and LLP partnership agreements (including contentious issues)
  • Corporate insolvency advisory services acting for both creditors and debtors and often in close connection with insolvency practitioners
  • Acting as mediator between senior employees and management for both UK listed companies as well as international clients.
